Twin Towers van Daan van der Steijn uit Deurne lesmateriaal voor middelbare scholieren Nooit had de Deurnese Daan van der Steijn toen kunnen bedenken dat het schaalmodel dat hij bouwde van de Twin Towers ooit lesmateriaal zou worden op middelbare scholen. Toch prijkt zijn World Trade Center project voortaan in het lesboek Nederlands voor vmbo- en havoleerlingen van onderwijsuitgeverij Noordhof .

Zeiljacht van Jacques Brel krijgt stukje van WTC-torens als symbool voor vrede Het zeiljacht van Jacques Brel Askoy II heeft dinsdag een stukje van het World Trade Center in New York gekregen. Het stukje staal wordt verwerkt in het stuurhuis, als symbool van vrede. Voor de laatste fase van de renovatie van het jacht voorziet de Vlaamse regering bovendien een premie.

CARICOMS eerste World Trade Center in Guyana Het eerste World Trade Center dat in de Caribische Gemeenschap (CARICOM) wordt opgericht, komt in Guyana te staan. Als alles volgens planning verloopt zal het centrum in februari 2023 worden geopend, meldt Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL), het lokale bedrijf dat het centrum naar het buurland van Suriname brengt.
